Smile Opinions wanted on this laptop

I am considering getting my first laptop and was wondering opinions on this model:

http://www.officedepot.com/ddSKU.do?...139&&An=browse

We currently have a desktop Sony Vaio as our main computer and I was looking to get a second computer because it always seems my husband and I want to use the computer at the same time. I'll probably use this one mainly for internet and some of my long-winded strategy & adventure games like Age of Empires 2 & Syberia. If it could run Age of Empires 3 that would be awesome, too. So how do the stats of the computer vs. price seem to ya'll?

Thanks for any info and/or opinions.

That''s not bad at all for the price. Toshiba Satellites do have a rep for being good solid laptops. I checked the video card on that Toshiba with the video card needs of AoE III, and it should work. It just meets spec on what that game needs.

If you can spend $100 more, I would go with something like the Dell Inspiron 6000 here: http://configure.us.dell.com/dellsto...=i6000D2&s=dhs

That will play those types of games with little problem. The video card is one step up, and should give you just a bit more head room, and the Pentium M would run better then a Celeron of the same speed. Maybe look at the Dell 9300 if you think you'd want the bigger screen, but that is getting over $1,000. I wouldn't go higher then that for what it sounds like you want to do. Hope I was a little help.
