Unhappy Gateway Laptop Won't Boot

I have two laptop: Model 450SX4 and 600YGR. Neither laptop will boot or they displaying any thing on the screen.

However, each laptops fan motor in running. One of the laptops has a wire (looks like a black ground wire in not connected to the screen) off a terninal.

Any help from forum member in getting thes government surplus computers running.

Good chance they are missing vital components. You probably need to strip them down and investigate. The government has strict security standards that must be followed before allowing any surplus IT gear out to the public. I'd frankly be surprised if they have hard drives, and good chance the ram has been removed to use elsewhere. They also may have been modified for "special projects" and when they remove that stuff they aren't going to bother reconnecting things back the way they were.
