dell laptop reformat? can i nuke?

Hey all, I was wondering if I could nuke a friend's dell laptop (full of spyware, ect), and then use the dell restore cd that it came with to reinstall windows? Just wanted to make sure that wiping the hdd clean, would still allow me to reinstall windows with the cd.

Thanks!

That's what the restore CD is for.

That's the thing glc. Newer Dells don't come with a restore CD by default. You have to ask for one or check and see if you have a program to create one yourself. If you don't have one, Dell support will probobly send you one for $10 or something.
