Using TV as monitor

I've got a IBM Thinkpad T30 laptop. It has an S-video out connector. Can I use that to connect the laptop to a tv to use as a monitor? If not is there anyway to use a tv as a monitor? Thanks.

Yep. And if your TV doesn't have an S-Video-in, you need an S-Video/RCA adapter and output a composite signal (you should be able to choose that somewhere in the properties of display).

Hi jack10525,

Yes, most definitely. Simply plug that S-video out into the S-video in of the TV.
