SanDisk m230 mp3 player

A freind of mine got this mp3 player and asked that I help him download some music on it. His stepfather tried, but he's doubled up on some songs which are listed on the player as "artists". The player lists 131 songs, but when I bring it up on my computer using Windows media or just explorer, those show only 56 files. With no files listed as "artist". I highlight all the files in explorer and it lists also 186 megs, but when I right click on the disk it self, as F: drive, explorer is saying that it has 433megs used. I just don't get it, can anyone tell me why I can not see all of the files on the player through windows explorer and then how can I take those files off?

yes, but after looking and beating my brain out, I finally had to call sandisk tech support. And due that some files were loaded onto the player by a subscription service, windows could not read them or edit them. So I did a format of the player's memory and everything is fine now.

Thanks for the help....
