Palm TX and RepliGo 2.0
Does anyone use RepliGo 2.0 document converter with a Palm OS handheld device? I have used RepliGO 2.0 for some time with no problems until recently. I used RepliGO 2.0 to convert a newspaper I get on line in PDF so I can view it on the Palm TX. All PDF files of the newspaper converted fine except the last two issues of the paper. I now get this error during the conversion process for the last two issues: "A component of Cerience RepliGo has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are sorry for the inconvenience." The error report states this: "AppName: repligoeng.exe AppVer: 2.0.11.35 ModName: repligoeng.exe ModVer: 2.0.11.35 Offset: 00062b60".
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling RepliGo 2.0 with no luck. Past issues of the paper still convert properly and MS word documents still convert properly. I have used the RepliGo PDF Mobilizer program and it converts fine, but when Hotsynced to the Palm TX the graphics and text are sometimes fuzzy. Even in the middle of a page the text in one paragraph will be fine the next paprgraph is all dark and fuzzy. Any ideas? |

To anyone that uses RepliGo 2.0. As I stated above, PDF files were converting fine about 2 months ago using RepliGo 2.0, but now the newer PDF files are converting. I downloaded RepliGo PDF Mobilizer and tired it, it converted the new PDF files but, when I HotSynced the file to my TX, it looked all fuzzy (graphics and text). What I was doing was using RepliGo 2.0 to convert the PDF file because for some reason I could not HotSync the RepliGo PDF Mobilizer file (*.rgo) to my expansion card. Then I discovered that I couldn't HotSync, copy, or transfer anything to my expansion card (MMC). The TX saw the card, but would read any file on it. I thought, Oh Great, the card slot is bad, I'll have to call Palm and get a repair authorization. I tried the MMC card in the card reader in my computer and it worked fine. So, I thought I had confirmed that the expansion slot in the TX was bad. I thought I'd try one last test before I called Palm. I bought a new SD card this weekend just as one last test to check the expansion slot. The SD card worked great in the TX. I could HotSync, copy, and transfer. Now when I send the RepliGo PDF Mobilizer file (*.rgo) to Palm Quick Install to HotSync to the TX it works. The graphics and text are clear when viewed using the RepliGo 2.1 viewer on the TX. I just thought I would share this experience.
