Building notebook-proc help
Well ive decided to build my own notebook, for fun. Ive selected this barebone-
http://www.abs.com/diy/Config.asp?Se...0004&Layout=SD Its seems like a awesome deal, 9700pro 128mb dedicated, 4.5hour batt life, pentium M, 15''sxga display. Crazy price too. I did some price searching and i found this barebone to be on the upwards of 600 dollars elsewhere! Now about the proc is where im stuck. It says it can use a dothan but nowhere does it mention the fsb. Ive noticed that for alll of the notebook barebone chassis they all are speced with 400mhz dothans. Ive heard there is a p4m too so am i gettin confused with that? Well im going for this proc...Pentium M Dothan 1.73ghz, 533mhz fsb, will it be backwards compatible with 400mhz? Compatible on that barebone at all? When i do a search on newegg for p-m's, it says that they are all skt.478's? I thought dothans were 479? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819111170 EDIT: I found the full manufacturer spec for this notebook. 855 chipset so means ill have to go with 400mhz dothan. www.mwave.com/mwave/specB/pdf/BA20074.pdf

ok fixed...i hope lol. Oh btw im pricing it out and with that chassis, a p-m 1.7ghz, 40gb WD 2.5' hdd, 512mb ddr ram stick, and not including a optical drive its comin to low 700s. Not bad for those specs.
