Angry Fire Ipaq H6315 vs. Motorola H700 Headset

I'm having trouble with my ipaq where the mic doesn't pick up sound very well, so I constantly have to speak very loudly when I'm speaking on the phone. I thought to use a wired headset, but the BRILLIANT people at HP neglected to provide a jack for a hands-free head set, opting instead for a standard headphone jack (thanks a lot ).

Anyway, having no options left, I reluctantly purchased the Bluetooth enabled H700 headset. The problem is that I can't seem to get them to pair, and motorola tech support (in India) isn't anymore specialized than reading the instruction manual out loud (i already read it and followed the steps, i don't need someone to read them to me, I NEED HELP).

Is there anyone with a similar problem???

Talking Here's how I fixed it FYI.

I attempted to pair the headset to three other phones, and none worked. I went back to the store where I bought it and the guy said he had another customer complain about something similar. I exchanged it for a new one and it worked fine. Defective product. Thanks for reading.
