Palm Life Drive: 2GB SD Card

I was givien a Palm Life Drive for my birthday. It takes a 2GB SD card. Is there any difference between the "standard" SD card and the premium SD cards for my purposes. It seems the premium cards have more to do with photography, which this device doesn't do.

Your Life Drive should do fine with a "regular" SD Card. All the ones I have used (that came with any of various types of cameras, as well as with phones and other devices) have worked flawlessly.

By the way, welcome to the club.

Let's hope you will have a great an experience with your Life Drive.

I would think the "premium" cards just have faster memory. This allows photos to be saved faster and will return control of the camera to the user quicker. Flash memory does have advertised speed ratings - it looks like standard SD starts at 60x and the high speed ones are 150x.

I thought so. I've figured out what I could probably do with this thing. For all the portable computing I do, this thing will work. I figure if I quit driving and take the bus, I'll have more time to play with this thing. I actually live on an excellent transportation hub and the city is going free Wi Fi!
