I can't seem to find any help with this issue so maybe someone here can help
My daughter has a Samsung Mp3 player model ypt7j 512mb it was new in Decmember 2005, recently it has stopped working, from what I have read you can not replace in internal battery, even though I took it apart and looks to me like it should be possible to replace it you just need very small tools which I have from working on computers. I can't seem to find any place online where I can get a battery??? This is the only thing I can think it would be, the problems it was having were not being reconized when plugged into the computer and not just one but 3 different ones I have, and including a computer a best buy where I bought it. Needless to say Best Buy is no help at all ( no suprise there ) Here is the type of battery it is YP-T7J Lithium Polymer, If anyone thinks there is a problem that is not battery related please let me know, I don't understand if the computer can not reconize it as new hardware regardless of the battery condition what would the problem be.Thanks for any help you can give me

The easiest thing to do would have been to get a warranty replacement from Samsung, but I'm not sure if you can do that now that you've taken it apart.

If I still had all the warranty information I would do that, as far as opening the player, simple just 2 screws to open the case. Still looking for the reason it still plays the music on it but won't be reconized by the computer so that it can load more music.
