ibm thinkpad
i recently installed a realport2 network card and my cd ,floppy,usb ports and soundcard stopped functioning on my laptop. it is an old laptop.
i uninstalled the network card and loaded default bios settings but this made no difference. other than this the laptop is working. any ideas? |

Installing and uninstalling devices do not change the BIOS settings it is a Windows driver or IRQ conflict issue. The setting you do want to see in your BIOS is 'Plug and Play OS' and you want that to be a yes if that laptop has that. Is that a pcmcia network card??
