Laptop Power problem

My laptop (10 months old) won't work anymore on the 220V-power supply. Only on battery-power. Battery will charge indeed, but very weak,
If I remove the battery, the computer won't change to 220V-power, the computer stops. If the battery becomes empty, it' stops.
Is my battery defect? Or maybe my power-supply? Or the laptop charging system?
(Laptop = ACER Travelmate 2201WLC)

Thanks,

Probably either the power supply or the charging system.
A Common problem is the where the power cord plugs into the lappy and that connection getting bumped....Is it still under warranty?
