PSP Networking
Hello there. I'm aware this might not be the best forum to put this in but I'm not entirely sure where it belongs.
I have a PSP and I am attempting to create a connection to my wireless router - it is a US Robotics 9108 and the security setting I'm on is 'WPA2 and WPA(PSK)'. I have entered the key into the PSP (which scans and finds the network) but when I come to test it the connection fails to the router (it just times out). I think it is something to do with the encryption/key exchange but I'm not sure. I'm not using MAC address filtering and the DCHP setting on the router is enabled (I've also tried disabling it and giving the PSP a static address). Thanks in advance. |

In order to use WPA, the PSP must have firmware 2.0 or newer. Try disabling the security and see if it will connect. If so, change to WEP encryption.

Thanks for the reply - I disabled the security completely and it worked. Then I changed the security to 'WPA (PSK)' and that worked as well.
