So many laptops...

I'm starting at UTK this fall and was looking around for laptops, (sadly my desktop isn't enough buisness majors require a laptop...) So if anyone can point me to a laptop that isn't terriby pricey. Preferably <1000usd. all it needs to do is Word, Powerpoint, Excel, ect. But i did want to be able to play some CS:S on there occasionaly I don't need to run maxed out but Id like to be able to at play it, and DVD wouldn't be bad either. So any hel would be aprrieciated.
Thanks

I'd look at a Dell E1505 with the ATI video option, or one of the new Acers with the ATI video. You should be able to get a Core Duo in that price range - or if you prefer AMD, Acer offers those too.
