I just got a new Laptop (D620 Latitude). It is running fine except for one problem, the 'O' key is very unresponsive, I have to jam it down to get it to respond. It is a refurbished system, with a 2 ghz processor, 1 gig of ram. windows xp sp 2 and all that jazz. the keyboard works fine except for that one key. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I may do to alleviate this problem? Maybe some cleaning of the keyboard?
Thanks! |

Sounds like the membrane switch for the O key is bad. You got a couple of choices: see if Dell will replace the keyboard under warranty(if the refurbed came with any)/buy a replacement from Dell/see if you can pop off the offending key to see if it is not broke or stuff under the key.
