12" Laptops

I need a laptop for coledge and general use, but I need it to be small and light. Being a student I don't have much cash. My limit is about $1000, but I'm looking to go as cheap as possible.

To my horror the best value I can find comes in the form of a Mac!

Can anyone recomend a laptop that is 12" or smaller?

Actually as long as it is dual-core the Mac maybe a good choice. I know quite a few people that have always owned PC's that are now buying a Mac. Apple is pricing very agressively as well by giving education discounts and free Ipods with most notebooks purchased.

That link leads to the M1210, which starts at $1200. However, you can get previous models out of the Dell outlet cheaper. Look at the 700m, theres one refurb in there now for $729.
