Averatec 3700 Series Laptop.

Hi Gang! any of you have any experience opening an averatec 3700 laptop.
I wanted to swap out the hd with a bigger hd.
The problem is even when I take out all of the screws it still wont give me access to the area where I need to take out the HD.
Any help is geatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I just checked your manual but nothing about swapping out the HDD.

If you can't find where the HDD bay is externally from the sides or the bottom of the laptop, it is probably under the keyboard. This requires more work and may be more difficult.

I don't recommend doing the procedure unless you know what you are doing.

See if this helps, might not be the same 3700 series that you have, but should be pretty similiar.
And looks a little complicated, be very carefull if you follow it so that you don't mess up any connections.
Also if your Avertech is still under warranty, breaking the seal will void it.
An authorized service center could do it for you and the warranty would still be good.
