Battery vs power supply
I have just purchased my first laptop and I want to treat the battery properly. I will be using this laptop primary at home and will have the computer on for many hours at a time. Can I mostly use the power cable or does this harm the battery to have it constantly recharging? Should I use the battery and only switch to power when the battery gets low?? I welcome your thoughts on the proper way to maintain the battery. Thanks for helping!

Whilst L-ion batteries don't require full decharge in every use, they have a limited number of 'charge cycles'. For this reason, whenever my laptop is plugged in for hours, I physically remove the battery so that it isn't 'trickle charged' constantly.
