I saw one report on one of the news channels that the CPSC is going to look into that whole class of Lithium-ion batteries.
There have been quite a few recalls on them in a bunch of different uses.

This is kinda disapointing; I own lots of things powered with lithium ion batteries and not one of them has blown up yet

Sony better hope there is a better explaination than it simply being "Opps, we goofed up"

Both my Powerbook batteries are eligible, I guess i'll get a couple of new ones, that'll be nice.
