Lenovo Suggestions
Hi, thanks for reading.
My friend and I have most likely decided on a notebook to purchase. The Lenovo T-60. http://www.pc.ibm.com/us/notebooks/t...s_byo_t60.html My question is: Would a price of $250 be decent or too much, to upgrad from a Intel® Core Duo processor T2400 (1.83GHz) to the (2.16GHz). I know nothing about the Duo processor, I have only used Athlons in all of my computers, and never owned a notebook. The problem is if you click the upgrad, you are then forced to upgradethe Display / Graphics as well, costing another $200. 14.1" XGA (1024x768), Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 Standard, upgrading to 14.1" SXGA+ (1400x1050), 128MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1400. Nice card and nice screen, but for an extra $450 do we really need it? Mark.

Not unless you plan on doing some strong gaming with it.

If the laptop is for school purposes, and you guys aren't doing gaming or heavy graphic design or animation or 3d rendering or anything, I wouldn't go for the upgrade.
