Tablet PC decision...Help!

Hello everyone! Well I've had tons of help on these forum in the past and now I'm returnnig yet again to seek the wisdom of all you brillient people who post here!

I am finally getting back to college after a long break of moving from state to state and I'm looking to buy a new tablet PC.

I need something that will be great for graphics design and if possible something not too heavy. Right off the bat I was hoping to find a tablet pc with dual cores, but sadly while I know a good bit about PC's I know nothing about tablet pcs!!! The horror!

And so I implore you, please bestow upon me all your mighty wisdom in the world of tablet pc-y-ness and help me make a good decsion, preferably one under $2000. Thanks ahead of time to all the responses I hope to get!

I've heard some good things about toshiba, but the fujitsu tablet pc's I've seen are down right sexy though I don't know if they are any good.

Fujitsu LifeBook T series T4210 Tablet PC Intel Core Duo T2400(1.83GHz) 12.1" XGA 512MB DDR2 667 60GB 5400rpm DVD/CD-RW Combo Intel GMA950

On newegg, Anyone know how well this would perform for graphic design and photo editing?

Not enough ram. The Intel GMA will be sharing system ram. Plan on upgrading after purchase.

Yeah I had noticed It only has 512, Would that be something I could replace myself? Or should I take it somewhere to have it installed? I know my way around a PC but laptops are foreign country to me. haha

Also I noticed that the HD is only 5,400 rpm... is that standard? I've seen a lot of laptops with 5,400rpm HDs is there a reason for that outside of it being cheaper, or would it be fine to buy a 7,200 and install it without issues like overheating or what have you?

Thanks for the feedback! This will be a great help!

Most laptops have easily accessible ram sockets, usually they are under a cover on the bottom that's secured with a few screws. You may want to look to see if a manual can be downloaded.

A 5400 rpm hard drive is fine for a laptop. 4200 rpm drives are usually standard so that's actually an upgrade.
