i might sell my 5 g ipod cuz i want the extra battery life with 5.5 but i hear that there will probably be a keynote right before x-mas anoucing the true video ipod (that be cool) but i also hear it might be in Q1 of 2007

Thats my concern...I am thinking of upgrading my mp3 player with a bigger ipod and its sleek UI, but I'm paranoid that there will be a new one. It seems as if they just updated the 30 gig so people weren't dissappointed, until they come out with the real video ipod

Allright, call me ignorant if you want, but what's the different between the current iPod that plays videos and the 'true video' iPod? TIA.

I heard that the new Apple OS will actually run regular PC games just as well as the Apple stuff. They also use an Intel based processor don't they?

The current iPod has the 2.5" screen at the top of the player.

There has been a rumor circulating for some time about a "true video iPod" which has a full size screen over the entire front of the device. The scroll wheel would be part of a touch-senstive screen. Apple's patents have shown they have this idea in the works. But who knows how long it will be.
