Quick cell phone question--about Unlocked GSM
My cell phone is on it's last, on life support if you will.
Anyways, I looking for a way to not deal with Cingular on a replacement. I have been looking at some phones in various places, such as Email, Tigerdirect amoung a few places and I have some questions about the Unlocked GSM. Here is my question, If I buy a Unlocked GSM phone that uses a SIM card and it has the correct bands for my area, such as Quad band world phone, can I simply put my SIM card in it and use it with out having to call Cingular and having them activate it, since my SIM card is already active?

HI
I am not familiar with how these things work in the states, but yes you should be able to do that. J
