Exclamation shuting down problem

i have laptop that works fine and everything but the problem that i have is that my sister plugs in the charger and stays on the laptop for 3-4 hours and then keeps it on for hours and i found out that when you shutdown the computer that when it says " windows is shutting down" the screen doesn't go away and the the computer won't shut off once i kept the screen there for half an hour and it still didn't go away tell me if the computer is being (removed by admin) by this bad habit and that if the life time of this computer will be shortened

I believe that all the newer laptops have a LI-ion type of battery, and there is no effect on the battery or system in using it that way.
all it is doing is charging the battery, and if the battery is already fully charged, it would just run a trickle charge to keep it fully charged.

this type of a battery does not develop a memory like the old nicad type of battery did/does.

there should be nothing to do with the problem your asking about.

there is some other things you can do to solve the windows shutdown problem, but I can't remember what they are at this moment.

My old work laptop (HP NC6000) wouldn't do a shutdown at times if I left the internet connection plugged in.

Download UHPClean from Microsoft. It forces the shutdown sequence so should solve the problem :-)
