Edge or X SD mem cards

Has anyone here used the Edge or X brands of SD cards availale at Wallmart?

Id like to use this in my Palm E2 for memory. Theyre fairly cheap at 30 bucks for 1gig and seem like a good deal-

Thanks for any input

Well, The price is about the same for name brands on Newegg. I would say that they are fairly generic, in the product discription Walmart only says that they are imported with no country or manufacturer named.

Ill have to look into that.

On the other hand, Id like to pick up a card today rather than wait and not much could really go wrond ie Im just using the card for pictures etc.

I think if it was far a camera where I was taking important pics it might be another story.

At this point Im not loading any important programs on an SDcard-

Thanks for the input-

PS Where can I go to find what the quality brand SD cards are? Could you list them here?

I wouldn't worry about offbrand cards - as long as they carry a decent warranty. They all use flash memory made by one of the major manufacturers.

Thanks very much-

Does anyone mind listing the top end cards? Id guess from myu searching that sandisk, kinston, dane-elec, and kinston are high end? Maybe PYN too?

I consider Sandisk and Lexar as being the standards. However, as I said, they all use actual flash memory from a major manufacturer. The only real differences are warranty and speed.
