Cool Back up battery for HP Laptop?

I purchased an HP dv8000 laptop two months ago, and the battery is doing fine. I am, however, planning a trip abroad and would like to get a back up battery. I believe this is what I have in the HP right now, from the factory:

HP Model # 403808-001
Battery pack - 4.4Ahr, 8-cell Lithium-ion (Li-Ion) 149.00

I have heard that many batteries which are shipped from the factory due not have the power some aftermarket batteries have. If this is true, I would like to find a longer lasting battery to purchase as a back up.

Thus far, the calls I have made to HP parts have led me to India, and I am having a tough time explaining what I am looking for to the reps.

Specific ideas? Is this the best I can do, above, so just purchase another of these as back up? Or is there a better choice, or better source of information, than HP.com?

Another part number is EF419A. About all you can do is Google that and try to find a higher capacity battery - I didn't, but I found the same 4.4Ahr replacements for a lot less than $149.

This battery fits quite a few different laptops.

Yes, I got four different part numbers from the HP web site including the additional one above, but all had precisely the same description and were priced uniformly at $149. My main goal in looking at the HP web site was for a description for this thread, not a price.
