How much could I get for Dell laptop?

how much do you guys think i could get for a Inspirion 9100?

Basic specs:

60GB 7200RPM HD

512 MB RAM

P4 3.0GHZ

Not sure about the LCD size, 14" maybe?

Removeable DVD RW drive (can be switched with floppy drive)

any rough estimates appreciated.

I'm going to say $300. Seeing as how you can get a very good non-gaming laptop for $750 or so, and an ok performer for $600.

I'm basing my estimate on how much I'd personally pay for such a laptop.

When I need a quick real-world estimate, I look at what things have gone for on Ebay.

There's no Inspiron 9100's on ebay though...I'd say about 350-500, but 500 would be a huge stretch.

There are definitely Inspiron 9100s on eBay. Looks like they're going for $500-800 depending on specs, with a few outliers.

Put it on eBay starting at 1 cent, no reserve, and maybe with free shipping. That's the easiest way to get a lot for it. I've had very good luck selling stuff using that method. Just make sure you have a good description.

Search for "Inspiron 9100" and narrow the search down to laptop computers only (not parts).

Look at their starting prices -- you'll find that the ones with lower starting prices ($10 or less) generally do better. The quality of the description also affects the final sale price -- If the description is long and well-thought-out and has plenty of photos, the auction will get bid higher. Finally, eBay feedback also affects how well an auction does. You may want to sell a couple of smaller items first and get feedback on them before you sell your laptop.

BTW, don't use Buy It Now -- it just gives window shoppers a chance to end your auction without paying, and then you are out the listing fees. You should also say you will only accept PayPal and ship to US residents with a confirmed address; if they want to pay by check or money order, or are not in the US, or do not have a confirmed address with PayPal, tell them they can't bid and don't ship if they win.

Well if you have good seller feedback, that should be fine.
