Very strange laptop problem - Any ideas?
Hello everyone,
Recently an issue has surfaced on my laptop which i've never come across or heard of before. About every 3-4 seconds, without fail, the computer will "lag" for a millisecond or so. Anything that's running on the laptop at the time this happens will experience the "lag" as well (video, audio, cursor movement, etc). The PC is a Dell Inspiron 9300 with a 2.00 Ghz Pentium M processor, GeForce Go 6800 video card, and 1 gig of RAM. I've tried starting the computer in safe mode and the issue seems to then disappear. I have also tried reflashing BIOS, reformatting the computer, and reinstalling sound/video drivers. I'm not really sure where to go from here, any suggestions? |

the first thing is to check for virus, trojans..
next is to check the hardware (memory hd video ) one by one.
