Trading in Laptops?

I have a laptop I bought a couple years ago that just doesn't fit my needs anymore. It's heavy for one thing, the hard drive is small, and the processor and memory are slow. I know that no one is going to want to buy this thing from me, so I need to get rid of it somehow in order to get a new one. Are there any places out there that will take this and possibly give me money for it/give me store credit so I can put it towards a new one? If anyone has any sites they could send my way that would be the best.

Thanks!

If you live close to a college, there may be a place that sells used laptops to students.

What processor does it have? You may be able to get a lot more use out of it with a ram and hard drive upgrade. What brand and model is it? How much ram does it have and how big is the hard drive?

There is always eBay.... there is probably someone out there that could use it... I just sold an old pentium laptop on there... you may not get much out of it... but someone else could use it. Gateway has a trade-in program that you could check out... good luck.

If you live by a decent size city, Craigslist is another option. You won't get as much for the laptop as if it were on eBay, but it is easier to sell stuff on there.
