Cannot Burn iPod Songs to CD

I have a lot of songs in iTunes and on my iPod. I have followed all their steps in "Help" to burn a playlist to a CD. When I insert a blank CD into my laptop, I even get a prompt in iTunes telling me that, if I want to burn a CD, do X, Y and Z, and then click the "Burn CD" icon in the bottom right corner of the iTunes window.

There is only one problem - THERE IS NO "BURN CD" ICON IN THE ITUNES WINDOW!

This seems pretty basic, and I am stunned it has been made so difficult. Can ayone out there tell me what I am doing wrong? Any help is truly appreciated.

I thought the icon was on the upper right in iTunes? Anyways, it looks like a circle which can easily be overlooked that it is the burn CD button and it doubles as other functions when somewhere else in iTunes.

which version of iTunes are you running? i am running the latest, and i can click on a playlist and down in the bottom right hand corner is a button that says Burn Disc (grey, rectangular button). if i don't have a disc in and i click it, it automatically opens the tray for me to put one in

you mentioned your ipod. you're not trying to burn the playlists from your ipod, are you? you need to make sure you are burning from your iTunes library playlists
