Is this laptop a good deal?

Hey, I'm looking for a low to mid-range laptop that is for usual uses and the occasional gaming with like counter-strike. I came across much praise for the Asus A8JP at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834220104.

Can someone help look at the stats for me and tell me if this is a good deal? I heard Asus makes great laptops and this one has a T7200 2.0 Core 2 Duo processor, very fast and more than good enough for me. It also has a X1700 video card with 256 MB of RAM and up to 512 MB of hyper memory. It seems like the only bad side to this laptop is the 2 x 512 MB of RAM, which is 1 GB and good enough for me but will be expensive if I want to add more ram because there are no spare slots. However, 1 GB is good enough for me and this is not a factor. It is $1298 which is high in my price range, about the most expensive that I can afford. Is this the best bang for my buck? Thanks!

For the price that's not bad at all. I'd do a little extra research on the video card. Just Google it for reviews, and see what people are saying. If it plays at a level that you don't mind, then I'd go for it.
