GPS for Laptop
Hi all,
I'm looking to add GPS capability to my laptop. What kind of GPS receiver do you guys think would be best? Something that plugs into one of the USB ports, or a PCMCIA card? Does any one have any recommendations/experiences with differenent brands? Also, what type of software do you recommend that would be able to pinpoint my location anywhere on earth (where I have a GPS signal)? Something like google earth that shows terrain would be cool, but if that's not possible, how about just some street & road mapping software? Also, iis there software where you can plan directions to a location and then as you go it will give you voice directions, just like a real car GPS unit, but just on my laptop? Thanks for any help and/or recommendations that you can give me. |

I'd jump on that Deluo package. Microsoft wants a lot more than that for their S&T/GPS package. Deluo GPS units are decent. You already know how to use S&T so your learning curve will be minimal. It's voice capable. Only downside is it only has maps for the US.

Thanks guys. How about this one?
http://www.buygpsnow.com/oncourse-si...abled-474.aspx I like this because I can use with my PDA and also with my laptop, dual functionality because of blue tooth iis nice. Question is, what software should I do go with? International support would be a plus. Thanks again. |
