Another person looking for some university laptop advice
I've never purchased a laptop before, but I believe that I know what I need for my laptop for university. What is a good make or model that is reliable? Any particular company? Besides a reasonable price range (around a $1000), I'm looking for the basics like:
-2 GB RAM -160 GB HDD space -15.4 inch screen -Wireless a/b/g Wifi would be a good bonus A laptop on the lighterweight side and with decent battery life is also important. I'm not looking for a gaming rig. Thanks, any help would be appreciated.

Dell Inspiron E1520 from Dell Home, or if you want XP, the Vostro 1500 from Dell Small Business, which I believe is basically the same thing. There is currently a sale on the Vostro 1500:
