Laptop not measuring the battery charge correctly
Hi. I have a 2 year old compaq laptop with a battery that, apparently, was reaching the end of its life. It was lasting about 20 minutes before going into hibernation. However, the other day I forgt the battery was supposedly dead (after going into hibernation) and turned it on. Not only did it boot up but I was able to use it for almost 40 minutes with a theoreticall 0% charge. I'm doing the same right now and it's been 30 minutes without any problems.
I've tried following the procedures listed at the manufacturers web page for recalibrating the battery but I still get about 20 minutes before it goes into hibernation. Any ideas? Thanks. |

Well, your batterys just dodgy simple as, I think theres a program that recalibrates your laptop as well as improving battery life from my understanding, battery doubler i think from hare or something. Give that a try on the trial run. But it sounds most certainly like the battery is out of sync.
