HP Pavilion ze4800

my wife has an HP ze4800 and it is slow.
upgrading the cpu is not an option, is it?
i got two different readings from cpu-z and the built in system information. or am i just not reading the information properly?
here's an image with both results

apparently it has 2 sticks of 256 MB of ram. would replacing one (or both) of the sticks with a larger stick (more ram) make a noticeable difference?

when IE7 is running with a couple of tabs open, and skype, outlook and babylon open in the background, the cpu usage fluctuates between 50-90% (sometimes jumps to 100% for a second or two).
is this "normal" for this level of laptop?
is there anything i can do to improve the cpu performance?

i read somewhere that the ze4800 takes pc2100 (266 MHz), 200 pin, ddr sodimm ram but i think one stick (or both) is pc2700.

can anyone confirm the appropriate ram for this laptop?
is any 200 pin ddr sodimm ram stick acceptable?

thanks

Not compatible - you cannot put DDR2 into a DDR machine. They both may be 200 pin but they are keyed differently.

Looks like you may use 512mb PC2700 or PC3200 modules.
