Treo 650
I'm considering changing from a BB to a Treo650 but after doing some googling I've found a lot of positive and negative reviews.
I am wondering if any of you guys and gals have any feed back on this particular phone based on personal experiences. Thanks. |

I have one. Reception isn't the best, and you need (non-free) apps to do some basic stuff like raise the volume to a decent level, voice dial, use MP3 ringtones, and reset the message LED when it sticks in the "new message" mode. It also dings annoyingly at you when it can't get any reception. Mine doesn't crash that much, but it has crashed at some inopportune times (such as when ringing while I'm driving, so that I had to wait until the next light, pull it out of its case, pull off the battery cover, and press the reset button with the stylus). On the other hand, it's easy to figure out the interface, easy to use without whipping out the stylus, and very configurable, and of course it's got all the benefits of a Palm OS PDA.
When mine craps out (it hasn't shown any signs of doing so yet, but as with any cellphone, it's a matter of time), I'll probably get a Windows Mobile device -- either the Q or a successor, or the XV6800.
