Power question

Does keeping a laptop continuously connected to AC power have any ill effects on the battery?

Not particularly. Think of it as a UPS.

The only thing it does is waste power. I that is a concern, charging your battery and then unplugging until you need a charge will save some juice and exercise the battery more.
