Annoying IBM T60 pad problem

heya guys,

my dad has a T60 and he hates the tapping option (where you double tap the pad and it applies the same effect as the left mouse button) so he unchecks the option in the IBM control panel settings. whenever he resets his computer or the pc even goes into standby, the option checks itself and everything goes back to normal. i was wondering if theres some registry key i may be able to change to remove the tapping option permanently ?

Thanks

Uninstall the IBM pointing device software and run it as a standard 2 button mouse using the default Windows driver.

well the only 2 options in the control panel add/remove wizard are ultranav wizard and ultranav drivers.. i removed the wizard and it did nothing, im afraid if ill remove the ultranav wizard either the center pointing device (that little red dot on the keyboard i forgot its name) or the pad might not work.. or that all the settings will be kept but the ultranav control panel will be gone so i wont be able to change the settings :|

Thanks

Both the pad and the pointing stick will work with just the default Windows mouse drivers. If you mess up you can download a fresh set of drivers, etc. from Lenovo.
