HP Pavilion zv6000 Quick Launch Function Keys

Hello All ....

A while back I reinstalled an OS on a friend of mine's laptop. We installed a copy of XP that was not the copy that was shipped with the laptop as it was purchased at an auction.

The laptop is supposed to have a quick launch feature that uses four buttons on the top of the front bezel an the function keys. The function keys are not working as they should.

Does anybody have any ideas on how to get this feature back? I tried to install the driver from HP but nothing seems to have changed.

Did you go to the manufacturer's web site and get the drivers for that make and model ?

I downloaded them from HPs website and followed their directions, but nothing happened. I tried to uninstalled the driver but when the laptop rebooted it was still there.

My mistake I overlooked that line.

Have you downloaded the manual and/or followed HP's instructions for getting the notebook running (they'd be the same ones for installing a new notebook hard drive)?
Tell us the model as well as what other drivers you installed.
