Stupid question ... no cd with new laptop.

Hello all.

I just purchased a Acer Extensa 4620Z for my daughter and noticed that they don't include a recovery or vista cd. This is my first dive into vista and I was wondering what I do to get these? I'm assuming you can make one directly from the laptop, but I want to make sure I don't mess myself up later.

Thanks again for all the help!

Jeff

I have 2 Acer laptops. They don't have a CD. They have a recovery partition on the hard drive. When you first booted it up it should have instructed you to burn that partition to a CD. After I did that I re-formatted to gain that extra space on the harddrive.
