Best Brand of all

Hey guys its been a while since I posted. The last time I posted was because I wanted to build my own PC an guess what? It was a success thanks to you guys.

Now I encounter another problem. I'm planning on getting a labtop soon for college and I dont know which i should get. I dont want build a labtop because I dont think i can handle it. I want to buy a labtop. I dont know what are some components that i should look for when I buy a labtop. I plan on using the labtop for gaming, multimedia, and word process. I dunno if I should buy a PC or a Mac. some recommend PC for its on reason and some for Mac for its reason. If I want to buy a PC which brand should I get? (NOT DELL PLZ) I was thinking of getting a Toshiba. Think its good?

What's wrong with Dell? They make some of the best laptops. If you're going to be gaming get a PC, of course. A mac would be good for multimedia stuff. You might want to look into the college you are going to and see what their computer requirements are.

If I were going pre-built for a desktop, my first look would be a Dell. For a laptop, I picked up a Toshiba, but I didn't have time to research much before had: I have been pleased with it.

What is your budget? If you plan on gaming, you'll need to spend a fair amount. Dell is a common recommendation, but if they are out, check out Lenovo ThinkPads. Expensive but quality. Check with your school for discounts.

I don't like Dell because i think they are overprice. I understand everyone has different opinion but I had a bad experience with it. My budget is around $2000 max. What are some stuff I should look for in a laptop in general?

The "best brand of all" is the Thinkpad. It's always been the standard for business customers. I have one that's 8 years old and still going strong.

I have no problem with Dells, and if you buy from the refurb outlet or find a coupon deal, the prices are hard to beat. I just got a coupon deal on an Inspiron E1520 for a Xmas present, it bottom lined at just under $800 well equipped with a few upgrades.

Search Google for "dell coupons".

The one I found was $225 off any Inspiron over $949 including tax. I had to option it to get it over $949, the E1520 starts at $699 plus tax. I also got free shipping.

Years ago, I had a lot of respect for Toshiba laptops. Now they look to me to be the same cheap crap quality as any other brand you can buy in a big box store. I've been burned one too many times with HP, so that's out too. Acer preloads with every crapware app under the sun and ships the drive with FAT32 partitions, Gateway is suffering from the eMachines lack of quality, there just isnt't much out there I trust except Lenovo Thinkpads, Dell, and Panasonic Toughbooks.

I personally think Dells are a pretty good deal, but the best systems you can get are ThinkPads. That is if you can handle the price. My personal view on laptops is either a Dell or a Macbook if you're on a college budget, but the best of the best is ThinkPad.
