mini laptop for $400
Hey guys,
I am thinking about getting the Acer Eee notebook: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834220244 It will cost about $400, but I am planning on replacing the RAM and the hard drive. I'm just wondering if anyone has any feedback on the notebook? Also, do you think that beryl linux will run on this computer, even though it has an integrated graphics card? Thanks. |

Well it's going to be tricky to do anything with the hard drive. It uses a flash drive so you can't just put a normal 2.5" hard drive in it. Keep in mind the eepc is not designed to work as your main laptop. It's for quick writing, surfing, or podcasting perhaps. Not for long term storage and long time use.

Yea I just realized that it has a flash based drive. The only thing I use my laptop for anyways is to surf the web and occasionally type up a paper. The only negative point seems to be the obvious lack of hard drive space and functionality, but I only use my laptops for surfing the web anyways so it is no biggie. Does anyone know if the integrated graphics card can handle beryl linux?
