touchpad has mind of its own
Our school got a donated Dell Latitude (about 5 years old). The touchpad works ok when you first power it up, but after a while, it gets a mind of its own, and wants to stay at the right edge of the screen. We've tried putting a mouse on it (PS2 and a USB type), but those behave the same way as the touchpad--the pointer goes to the right edge and if you drag it to the middle, it goes right back to the edge before you can do anything with it.
What could we try to fix this? |

It appears to be a problem with the wireless card. After removing that, the touchpad worked fine. I'll try different brand of wireless cards.
