Problems booting up Dell inspiron 1150
Hello everyone, I currently have a problem booting up my inspiron 1150. The dell logo will come up but then the screen goes all blocky and ends up looking like a square jig saw puzzle. Before had I had made a repair to the power jack that involved removing the cpu and the mother board. Anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be? Any help would be great, thanks.

What do you mean by the repair of the power jack?

The power jack on the 1150s tend to come lose off the solder points. I soldered the power jack back on to the motherboard.

OK, so are you saying that since you opened up the laptop and did the power jack repair it has not worked ever since?
