Lost password
I have a HP ze4900 series laptop which I finally got around to replaceing the Cmos battery, its been probably about a year since it was running. Good news is the teardown went fine and its up and running but the bad news is I cant remeber the password I had on it to log into windows, What are my options with this???? It is running windows XP for the OS.
Thanks for any suggestions BCB |

Unfortunately, we can't tell you how to bypass passwords on this site.
You could try calling hp, and seeing if they can help you to get back into the system.

Thanks Shadowpr
I finally remembered it after a zillion tries LOL. I did call HP and they would provide a solution, but for a nominal fee of 49.95 !!! BCB |

Glad you got it figured out.
But at least it helped kill a day, and you probably thought of a bunch of new passwords to use in the process....lol. |

Now you need to set a password hint and create a reset disk.

You know on all my other comps I do set a hint , but on this one I'm stumped as to why I didnt. I do know that if im going to let one set for awhile I will remove the password from now on. As for the reset disk, I will just pay abit more attention from now on
