Zune 30 with 1.0 firmware
I've been trying for the past couple days to upgrade a Zune 30 (model 1091) with firmware 1.0 installed.
In order to be detected as a USB device, I had to go into the device manager and grab the drivers for it via windows update (I'm thinking the drivers windows update is spitting out may not be entirely compatible with the 1.0 firmware). The original software that came with the CD says the device is connected, but I can't seem to do anything with it. If I upgrade the zune software on the PC, after the upgrade, I have the new software, but not the new firmware, and the software doesn't detect the zune at all. Any ideas?

ok, problem solved
I was working on a fresh install for a laptop, and installed the software on there. I was able to update the firmware with the laptop, then was able to use it on my main rig. |
