IBM Thinkpad R51
Hi all,
I'm working on the Thinkpad R51 laptop, it powered on, fan running but nothing on the screen. I took the RAM powered on but it did not beep when RAM is not installed. Could it be the m/b gone south? In addition, the system able to booted into windows for rougly 5 sec. then flicker and only screen with nothing display. Thank you,

The MB, RAM, or video card(if it has one) may be bad.

I think I found the problem, I opened the keyboard and the CPU exposed to open air, the System keeps running without issue. I think it overheat.

Make sure your cooling fins aren't blocked.
