New $600 Laptop

Heya guys can you recommend a good laptop for $600, something that will be solid for just typing, surfing the web, and listening to music, and just schoolwork in general.

There are several nice ones out there. Do you have a Best Buy in your area? If so, take a trip and see what they have; that'll give you the "touchy-feely" part of it. They have their weekly specials / ads online so you can easily check for sale items... That's where I picked up my Toshiba and, although I don't use it much, it's a nice unit.

Yes, me and my sister went to best buy about an hour ago to check out what they have, she liked a dell for about $650. I told her I would check online to see if I could possibly find something better and if not, then we are going tomorrow to buy it. Thanks for your help ;P

Your choices will be very limited for a sub-$600 budget.

This may not be what you would consider, but checkout www.delloutlet.com

Their refurbished and/or customer returned laptops start at $499.95. The thing is is you can get a pretty fast laptop with a lot of options in your price range.

Hey, guys thanks for the input but we ended up going with a dell inspirion 1525. It ended up costing about $700 and there was a nice deal so we took it, should be here in 3-5 days ;P thanks again

hi,

I'd recommend Acer Aspire serie - the prices range from 600 to ... $ depending on the features f the PC. I use 5315 myself and I would say it is a good choice.
