Question About Laptop/Desktops Please Help
I am wondering about the difference between the Laptop and Desktop if its necessary to turn off after use or not. Is there any difference to turn off your computer after the day or when you are done using? Or leaving it on all the time?

Turning either off will save power and reduce wear on parts like the fan(s) and the hard drive. The fan on my IBM ThinkPad T43p died after about two years, but I've seen other laptops whose fans last much longer (there is a design flaw with the T43 fans). Desktops use quite a bit of power (laptops not so much) but they are more durable and so will not be as adversely affected by running 24/7.
