keyboard problems
I have a toshiba satellite notebook running win 2000, and suddenly the key board has gone crazy, when I press the u, i, or o keys the numbers 4,5 or 6 are displayed on the screen some keys are working properly but somehow the output on a few keys has been changed I have tried rebooting and the problem remains. Any suggestions. Thanks.

There should be a fn key you can push that will turn off the number lock. I'm not positive where it is on your system, but all that is happening is your number lock is on.

Pushing the Fn key turns off the number lock function but when I release the Fn key the number lock function comes back so somehow the Fn function is permanently stuck. Thanks for the advice.

You have to hit another key in combination with the Fn key in order to turn Num Lock off.
